With flu and cold season upon us, we would like to remind you the simple measures you can take to prevent or stop the spread of flu and cold viruses.
- Get an influenza shot. It is the best protection against becoming seriously ill with the flu. Our flu shots are $20.00.
- Wash you hands with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol based had cleansers are also effective, but thouough had washing is the best.
- Cover you mouth with a tissue or handkerchief when you cough or sneeze. If a tissue is not abailable, cough or sneeze into the crook (bend) of your elbow.
- If you are sick with a fever, stay home for a day or two until you are well enough or the symptoms are gone.
- Try to avoid contact with sick people.
- Viruses are unpredictable and it is impossible to know whether or not they will get stronger, remain the same or siminish over time, but we do know that these are a few simple steps that everyone can take to do their part in stopping the spread of the flu.
